Your profile holds your name, username and email address. Your name and username appear on public resumes. Your email is how you sign in. To open it, select Settings in the dashboard sidebar, then Profile under Account. You can also open the account menu at the bottom of the sidebar and select Profile.

Change your name or username

1

Edit the fields

In the Personal details card, change Name or Username. A username uses lowercase letters, numbers, dots, hyphens and underscores.
2

Save

Select Save changes. Select Cancel to discard your edits instead.
Your username is part of every public resume link (hiresweep.com/your-username/resume-slug). When you change it, links you already shared stop working. Send the new links to anyone who has the old ones.

Change your email address

Changing your email takes two confirmations, so nobody can move your account to an address you don’t control.
1

Enter the new address

Type the new address in Email address and select Save changes. The field shows “We sent a confirmation link to” your current address.
2

Approve from your current address

Open the Confirm your email change message in your current inbox and select Approve Change.
3

Verify the new address

Hiresweep then sends a verification link to the new address. Open it. The new address becomes your email and you sign in with it from now on.
If either message doesn’t arrive, check your spam folder. If you no longer have access to your current address, you can’t approve the change.

Verify your email

Under Email address, the profile shows Verified or Unverified. If your email is unverified, select Resend verification email and open the link in the new message. The link changes to “Sent. Check your inbox.” once the email is on its way.
