# Plans and usage > What each Hiresweep plan includes, what counts against it, and how to upgrade, buy more or cancel. Building, editing, exporting and sharing resumes is free on every plan. Plans set how many applications Hiresweep sends for you, how many AI actions you can use and how many job searches you can run. See your plan and what you have used in **Settings → Plan & usage**, or **Plan & usage** in the account menu at the bottom of the sidebar. ## What counts | Allowance | What uses one | | --------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Application** | An application Hiresweep sends for you, in your browser or its own. It counts when the form is sent; a cancelled or stopped run costs nothing. See [Applying to jobs](https://docs.hiresweep.com/guides/applying-to-jobs#what-it-costs) for the one exception. | | **AI action** | One request to Hiresweep AI: an agent message, a builder suggestion or rewrite, a match score, a Resume check, a PDF or Word import, reviewing a posting, tailoring, a cover letter, drafting an answer to a form question, generating search Targets, or **Explain fit**. | | **Job search** | One Discover search, manual or repeating. It counts only when it finds at least one job. | | **Hosted submit** | An application filled and sent from Hiresweep's own browser (**Apply** in the background). Bought separately; handed back if the run doesn't send. | Filling in a form doesn't use AI actions; the application covers it. Paid allowances reset each billing month. The Search pass is three months of Pro paid up front, and it doesn't renew. You don't need a card to start on Free. ## Operator plans For career coaches, recruiters and agencies who apply on behalf of clients. Allowances are one pool shared across all your clients, sized by the plan's client seats. Each seat adds, every month: - 40 applications, up to 8 a day - 150 AI actions - 20 job searches, up to 4 a day For example, Studio includes 800 applications, 3,000 AI actions and 400 job searches a month. ## Add more Packs work on any plan and never expire. | Pack | Price | | -------------------- | --------------------------------------------- | | **20 applications** | $9 | | **50 applications** | $19 | | **Hosted submits** | $0.75 each, 20 for $15 by default. Change the number at checkout. | Buy them under **Add more → Other ways to add** on the **Plan & usage** page. ## The Plan & usage page ![The Plan & usage page on the Free plan, with meters for applications, AI actions and job searches, and the Pro and Search pass offers](https://docs.hiresweep.com/images/screens/settings-plan.webp) **Your plan** shows: - The current plan, its price, and the date it renews or ends. - A meter for **Applications**, **AI actions** and **Job searches**, each with how many you have used and when it resets. - Your daily application limit, and for operator plans how many active clients the plan allows. **Add more** lists the plans you can move to, with **Upgrade to**, **Switch to** or **Buy**, and the packs. When three or fewer applications are left, Hiresweep shows a notice offering more. ## Upgrade, change or cancel On **Plan & usage**, select **Upgrade to** or **Switch to** next to a plan and pay at checkout. After payment you return to Hiresweep with **Payment received. Updating your plan…** and the new allowances apply. Select **Manage billing** to update your card, download invoices or cancel. It opens the billing portal of our payment provider, Stripe. When you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for, then you move to Free. Your resumes and applications stay. If a payment fails, the page shows **Your last payment didn't go through** with **Update card**. ## When you run out When an allowance is used up, the action that needs it stops and Hiresweep links to **See plans**: - **Applications**: you can't start new application runs. Running ones that already hold an application can still finish. - **AI actions**: AI features are disabled until the allowance resets or you upgrade. The agent's composer shows how many actions you have left, and warns when five or fewer remain. - **Job searches**: **Search** and repeating searches stop until the allowance resets. A skipped repeat costs nothing. ## Developers API and MCP requests that hit an allowance return HTTP `402` with one of these error codes: `APPLY_LIMIT_REACHED`, `AI_LIMIT_REACHED`, `DISCOVERY_LIMIT_REACHED` or `CLIENT_LIMIT_REACHED`.
